Next a Burnaby Condo

Even I have to acknowledge that some breakups are inevitable. I usually feel that with a few tweaks here and there, people that earnestly care about each other can find a way to either patch things up or care enough about each other to soften the blow and help get over the breakup. This was not the case when my best friend’s fiancee quit on their relationship and up and moved to a Burnaby condo to put two thousand miles between them. It goes to show you that even a couple that appeared to be as close as they were have issues no one else would be aware of.

Coffee Tables Don’t Get It

My unpredictable love life took yet another spectacular turn last month when my fiancee went ballistic over my watching a basketball game while one of her chicklet dating shows was airing. First, I had to hear about how cheap I was for not having a DVR, then it was how selfish I was to want to see the last three minutes of a game I was watching for two and a half hours before she arrived. As the argument progressed, she slammed down the remote and cracked the glass top of my coffee table. For three weeks now she wants to make up by buying me a new one. It will take a dozen coffee tables before I forgive her for the nexcuseable tantrum.

He Was Like a Paint Agitator

Every once in a while, getting over a break up turns out to be a pleasurable experience. This middle-aged woman writes about her fearing losing her relationship with a man who while offering companionship was also akin to a paint agitator when it came to his daily habits. He was the epitomy of same ole, same ole. It turned out that they did break up and she has refound herself and likes this person she buried for a while. It is always important to like yourself before you can care about anyone else.

Industrial Mixer

I actually, believe it or not, witnessed a seemingly hapy couple break over the purchase of an industrial mixer. The circumstance was that this couple was about to have their first child. The expectant mother was dead set on buying a new mini-van to meet her criteria for the expanding family. When she went to the bank to withdraw the funds for the down payment of the vehicle, the money was gone. As soon as she discovered the money went for the new mixer at her husband’s shop, she went ballistic. She actually asked for a divorce. She moved in with her mom. After three days she called her husband and said it was her prenatal hormones that sent her over the edge. When she returned home, there was a brand new van in the driveway.

Why? Infinite Banking

I really created a big mess by getting involved with infinite banking. The concept is absolutly wonderful and can easily be the smartest and wisest thing to do financially. My problem is I foolishly put my eggs in the wrong basket. My fiancee and I were extremely close and wanted to wait to get married until we were were solidly financially secure. Thus, I went and funded our own bank under her name. Two years later we have this enormous battle over a difference of opinion regarding having children. The breakup left me holding the bag. With just about all of our assets under her control, I am turned into a pathetic and perpetual yes man.
